All About Mimmy Wolf
The Story of Two Sisters and the Reason Behind Mimmy Wolf
It all started in the early 90s. Tiff, AKA Little Wolf, and I had made our own little world, complete with characters and our own language. We would spend every day together, playing with our toys and dreaming of what we wanted to do when we grew up. We had so many goals and believed with all our hearts that they would all come true. We believed that one day we could make the world better. As we grew, our health issues began. Both of us were sick and spent time in wheelchairs while our bodies constantly struggled. After a few years, my health began to improve, and my lungs and eyes recovered enough for me to be walking again and breathing better. It was around that time that Tiff's health started to rapidly decline. They found a cancerous tumor in Little Wolf's abdomen. This began years of painful surgeries and treatments for Little Wolf. Tiff's health issues became too much, and Little Wolf couldn’t stand, walk, or speak anymore. Suddenly, our dreams changed from our magical accessible animal sanctuary, to hoping that Little Wolf would survive for another day. We still kept our dreams, but a lot of the focus became centered on saving Tiff's life. At 14 years old, the doctors gave Tiff about 3 months to live, and my Little Wolf proved them wrong and made it to 33 years old! Tiff sadly passed away a month after turning 33. The grief hasn’t gotten easier, but my love for my sister has given me the strength to keep pursuing our dream. Even though things have changed, I will still make my sister's dream come true - to have our own business, where we could provide custom toys, costumes, accessibility products, and eventually have our own animal sanctuary and accessible retreat. The sanctuary will be a special place where folks can come and enjoy a fully accessible, magical escape. We dream of an accessible treehouse complete with a ramp and wide doors, and hallways. A place where wheelchairs can access anywhere in the sanctuary, and people can feel free to roam. This world isn’t built with accessibility in mind, so we want to create our own place where everyone can enjoy freely. Tiff and I always strongly believe that nobody is disposable and everybody matters, no matter what state of health. Everyone deserves to thrive and be supported in any way they need. It’s our mission at Mimmy Wolf to do everything we can to create a world that is accessible for everyone to enjoy. Thank you with all my heart for helping manifest my me and my sister's lifelong dream.
